AWR 383 Cybersecurity Risk Awareness for Officials and Senior Management

This is a non-technical course meant to help officials and senior management work more effectively with their information technology (IT) department and other departments to mitigate cyber threats. The training is tailored to government, critical infrastructure, and private sector personnel who are responsible for directing and developing policy within their organization.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the basic concepts involved in cyber threats and cyber attacks
  • Describe how your city is at risk for a cyber attack and the impacts an incident could produce
  • Formulate strategies your city can implement to better protect against, respond to, and recover from a cyber incident

This course is a joint offering between the League of Minnesota Cities, the Association of Minnesota Counties, and the Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust.

NOTE: Attendees must bring a laptop or tablet. Smartphones will not suffice for this course.
