2025 Local Government Aid Amounts Certified

The Minnesota Department of Revenue released the certified local government aid amounts for each city.

On July 31, the Minnesota Department of Revenue released the certified local government aid (LGA) amounts for each city. The overall appropriation remained the same as 2024, with $644.4 million being distributed statewide. The aid is typically distributed evenly in two payments, one on July 20 and another on Dec. 26. However, in 2025 only 9.4% of a city’s aid will first be distributed on March 20.
