We are all leaders of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in our cities, but that doesn’t mean it’s as simple as showing up. Join LMC for a virtual workshop featuring nationally recognized speaker and co-founder of Greene Espel’s DEI practice, Sybil Dunlop. Sybil will share practical strategies for leaders to be mindful in their inclusion efforts. 
After the larger group conversation with Sybil, we will have roundtable discussions with peers from other cities. This is an opportunity to exchange ideas, boost your confidence, and build a network of supportive peers.
Conscious Inclusion: A Leadership Training with Sybil Dunlop
It is not enough to aim for increased diversity in our cities. Organizations only fully realize the benefits of their diversity when they are inclusive. When individuals feel included, they’re more engaged. Higher engagement has an effect on efficiency and morale for residents and employees, and retention of staff.
This engaging and energizing presentation discusses ways to create an environment where curiosity about differences is encouraged and inclusion is the responsibility of everyone. We will discuss the latest research on how to ensure your organization is inclusive, including practical advice for running inclusive meetings, giving non-biased feedback, and hosting inclusive events.
Please note that this will be an interactive workshop. Participants are expected to have camera and microphone ability in order to interact.
