Introducing LMC’s New Public Safety Program Coordinator: Erin Holznagel
As public safety program coordinator, Holznagel will promote the health and wellness of LMCIT member employees.
Erin Holznagel recently started as the League’s new public safety program coordinator, taking over the role previously held by Lora Setter, who retired June 7.
Holznagel served the City of Burnsville from 2009-2017 as a licensed peace officer. During her tenure, she held numerous specialty positions including use of force instructor, crisis negotiator, and physical evidence officer.
Holznagel left the Burnsville Police Department in 2019 to join the corporate security team at UnitedHealth Group (UHG) and spent the past five years building their Threat Management Program.
During that time, Holznagel also completed her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and has been working part time with Sunrise Wellness LLC and LE-AST Services LLC for the last three years as an associate marriage and family therapist (AMFT). Holznagel served both public safety personnel as well as the general population, managing a wide range of mental health concerns.
“I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have the opportunity to support public safety in Minnesota,” Holznagel said. “This is a dream come true and I hope the training and education we continue to provide will bring significant value to the lives of public safety professionals for years to come.”
