Pierre Willette Joins League of Minnesota Cities Intergovernmental Relations Team
The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) is pleased to announce that Pierre Willette will be joining its intergovernmental relations (IGR) team. He will officially begin his role as senior IGR representative on Jan. 23.
Willette brings more than 25 years of experience and expertise in public affairs and government relations to our organization. He comes to us from Goff Public, a Minnesota public relations and public affairs firm, where he served as director of government relations. Over the course of his career, Willette has established himself as a highly regarded public affairs professional with experience across a wide range of issues, as well connections with key Capitol stakeholders and strong bipartisan relationships with legislators.
Willette began his career with the City of Minneapolis, starting in the city council and mayor’s offices and advancing to senior government relations representative. He later served as economic and community development manager with the University of Minnesota Foundation Real Estate Advisors before joining Goff. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in public administration and management from Hamline University.
“We are delighted to welcome Pierre to our team,” said LMC Executive Director Luke Fischer. “His passion for public service and dedication to fostering relationships with legislators on both sides of the aisle will be instrumental in advancing priorities that benefit cities statewide. We look forward to the incredible contributions he will bring to our organization.”
