Submit Comments on the League’s 2025 Draft Legislative Policies
City staff and elected officials are encouraged to review and submit comments on the League’s recommended policy changes for 2025.
The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) is seeking member input on its 2025 legislative policy recommendations. The policy recommendations are a product of the League’s policy committee process and guide the League’s lobbying efforts. Members are encouraged to review the recommended changes and submit commentary by Oct. 28.

More than 150 officials from around the state met this past summer to discuss issues facing their cities as part of the League’s policy committee process. These discussions shaped the League’s 2025 legislative policy recommendations, which include additional new policy priorities, deletions, and changes to existing policies.

Final adoption of policy priorities
After Oct. 28, member comments will be collected for consideration by the League’s Board of Directors. The League’s Board will consider member comments and vote on final adoption of the League policies on Nov. 7. The approved policies will then be published on the League’s website in a document called the 2025 City Policies.
